FIDES is looking for an AWS Cloud Operations Engineer with an active Top Secret Clearance.

The AWS Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient, secure, and stable operation of our cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services platform. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in data engineering principles, substantial experience with technologies including AWS, and a proven track record of managing cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities for this role include:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based solutions to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
• Security and Compliance: Uphold stringent security protocols and conduct regular audits to meet government security standards.
• System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance using AWS tools and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Technical Support and Consultation: Provide expert AWS technical support and guidance, and facilitate staff training on AWS capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cloud ops and AWS management.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility. 
• Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC).
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM
• Strong knowledge of cloud, engineering, and big data platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Databricks.

• Cloud certifications and other relevant certifications.
