FIDES is looking for a Data Scientist with prior Azure Databricks experience to support a Healthcare System client. This is a hybrid role with mostly remote work and occasional onsite work.

The Azure Databricks Data Scientist is responsible for extracting actionable insights from complex datasets using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data science, extensive experience with Azure and Databricks, and a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions to real-world problems. Responsibilities for this role include:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business problems and develop data-driven solutions using Databricks.
• Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms to analyze large-scale datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to understand trends, patterns, and correlations in the data.
• Develop and deploy predictive models and algorithms in production environments using Databricks MLflow.
• Evaluate model performance and make iterative improvements to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• Experience with advanced machine learning techniques such as neural networks and Generative AI.
• Proficiency with Databricks, including experience with Databricks Runtime, MLflow, and Databricks Notebooks.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience using libraries such as Pandas.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare.
• Experience with other cloud-based machine learning platforms such as AzureML.
• Understanding of NLP Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Certification in Databricks or other relevant certifications.
