Description
FIDES is seeking a Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), M.D. Consultant to support a health system client with strategic clinical and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires a visionary clinical leader with strong EPIC and digital health experience who can serve as a bridge between clinicians, IT leadership, and technical teams. The ideal candidate will champion innovation and drive collaboration across clinical and technical domains. This is a hybrid role with some onsite presence.
Only Medical Doctor (M.D.) candidates with EPIC and digital health experience should apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a clinical champion and liaison between clinicians, IT leadership, and technical implementation teams.
- Advise on EPIC optimization strategies and digital health initiatives aligned with clinical workflows and patient care outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the vision and roadmap for digital transformation projects.
- Provide clinical insight and governance across health IT projects and change management efforts.
- Support adoption of new technologies through clinician engagement, training strategies, and workflow integration.
- Evaluate and recommend digital tools that enhance care delivery, access, and experience.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure interoperability and integration with existing systems.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) REQUIRED.
- Proven experience as a CMIO, physician informaticist, or clinical IT leader.
- Hands-on experience with EPIC systems in a leadership, advisory, or implementation role.
- Strong understanding of digital health technologies, EHR optimization, and clinical informatics.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills across clinical and IT teams.
- Experience working within health systems or provider organizations.
Preferred Skills:
- Board certification in Clinical Informatics.
- Experience with clinical decision support tools, telehealth platforms, or population health solutions.
- Familiarity with ONC regulations, quality reporting, and value-based care initiatives.
